Skeleton Watches for Women
The finest Skeleton Watches for Women.
When it comes to steampunk and skeleton watches, you have several options. You know the person you are buying for better than anyone, so take their personal style into account and do not simply pick the first one you see.
Women's models are slimmer and more colorful than men's skeleton watches. Small jewelry pieces are often integrated in or around the visible mechanism to embellish the dial. But it can sometimes be difficult to draw a clear distinction between the various influences of these watches...
What is the difference between Steampunk Watches and Skeleton Watches?
To the uninitiated, a skeleton watch and a steampunk watch can look similar.
They are actually quite different.
Skeleton watches are, as their name suggests, essentially the skeleton of a watch dial. Most, if not all, of the internal parts are exposed to the eye and styled to be fashionable. They can have a very minimalist or industrial look, depending on the watch.
Steampunk watches often have part of their inner mechanism exposed, but they generally feature larger gears and cog wheels, and are often adorned with metal to give them more shine. They are also frequently copper or bronze in color, which gives them a more aged appearance.
Again, both styles are exposed. Skeleton watches tend to be a bit more raw and bare — for lack of a better term. When in doubt, simply tell the person their watch is stunning.
